Every record in our database has explicit, server-enforced rules: students can read only their own work, teachers only their class, AI-generated content is server-write only. Adding a new collection requires adding a rule — the safest failure mode.
TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, HSTS preload. No mixed content. No HTTP fallback. Our hosting refuses to load over an insecure connection.
We don't sell student data — and structurally we couldn't, because we don't collect the kind of behavioral profile ad networks buy. No advertising IDs. No FLoC. No third-party analytics on child-facing surfaces.
Zero peer DMs by design — bullying has no vector. All class communication is teacher-mediated. Annotations are visible only to the class teacher and the author.
Payments go directly to Stripe (web / Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS). Cubbyed servers never see, log, or store a card number, CVC, or expiration. Webhooks are cryptographically signature-verified.
